My approach
Systemic. Integrative. Adapted to you.
I practise an integrative approach grounded in systemic psychotherapy, drawing tools from various therapeutic schools and adapting them to each person's needs.
At its core, my approach is based on the belief that every person operates within a network of relationships — understanding these relationships is key to change.
Methods I draw on
Systemic Psychotherapy
My primary approach. It examines the person within the context of their relationships — family, couple, social environment. Each person's representation of relationships through their family-of-origin experience often influences how they later form their own personal relationships.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
I draw on CBT elements particularly in treating eating disorders, based on the brief-intervention model from the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of Aeginitio Hospital.
Arts-Based Therapy
Music, theatre, and visual arts can serve as valuable therapeutic tools — a more experiential and alternative way of communicating. Research has shown that arts-based therapy is equally effective as talk therapy.
Integrative Approach
I draw tools from various schools of psychotherapy, adapting the method to each individual's specific needs. No framework is applied rigidly — therapy is always tailored to the person.
What the first session looks like
The first session is about getting to know each other. There's no pressure to dive deep right away — we'll go at whatever pace feels right.
I'll ask about what's bringing you to therapy, a bit about your background, and what you're hoping to get from our work. You're welcome to ask me anything too.
By the end, we'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit and, if so, a gentle direction for the sessions ahead.
For couples therapy, a detailed history from each partner is required.
How we'll know it's working
Progress in therapy doesn't always look like a straight line. Some weeks will feel like breakthroughs; others may feel slower — and both are part of the process.
I check in regularly about how you're feeling about our work together. We'll revisit your goals periodically with honest conversation about what's shifting.
Therapy is complete when you feel equipped to navigate life's challenges with confidence and self-understanding. We'll decide together when the time is right.
